‘Tis the season for very expensive reworkings of classic cars, here are two that made the news this week:
Jaguar Classic presented Iron Maiden drummer Nicko McBrain’s custom-built “Greatest Hits” 1984 Jaguar XJ6 at the Geneva Motor Show this week. This may be the ultimate ‘Bitsa’.
David Brown Automotive offered a “Remastered” version of the Mini, totally handbuilt from a late ’70s or ’80s body shell at the Geneva Motor Show. A tip o’ the flat ‘at to John Voelcker for the link to the story at Hemmings.

The Blind Beggar pub on Whitechapel Road, Stepney, London where George Cornell was shot on 9th March 1966 by Ronnie Kray. The car, still parked outside on the 11th, belonged to Cornell.
